The medical industry offers stability that other employment paths do not. The health and drug benefit plans are huge and the wages are always competitive with jobs in medicine. I wanted to change my life and get out of the accounting department at the hospital. The work became mundane and solitary. I didn’t realize how much I would miss interacting with people as soon as college was over.

Accounting had me hunched over a desk, working out the puzzles of other’s financial books. While I yearned to do something more interpersonal I was not sure what exactly that would be. After all, I already had paid thousands to become an accountant along with the annual certification costs; returning to school wasn’t feasible for me. Then I heard about Phlebotomy training and that courses for this program were actually offered on the weekend. Weekend courses would be much more conducive to my lifestyle and I signed up readily. With the convenience of these courses I was still able to work my current job.
